Samii Chelbesa is our first Washed Ethiopian of the season. These coffees are known for their intense florals and citric acidity. The Chelbesa Washing Station receives coffee cherries from around 615 local farmers, some of which need to travel up to 2 hours to deliver their production. They are incredibly well educated as to when to harvest their cherries, however they believe that God will tell them when the cherries are perfectly ripe, and ready to be picked. This is the impeccable example of a Washed Ethiopian coffee, a profile that is impossible to get from any other origin, making it an excellent addition to our range.
